Useful tips01

Your next post is in your inbox.

Answer one question customers ask every week.

Caption & useful notes

Stuck for something to post? Start with the question you answered twice this week.

How long does it take? What should I bring? Which option is right for me?

Pick one. Give a useful answer. Add a photo that makes it clearer.

You already know something your next customer needs to know. Patch says: pick that banana first.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips02

Say the useful bit first.

Give someone a reason to keep reading.

Caption & useful notes

Try this small caption edit.

Instead of: “We are delighted to announce some exciting news…”
Try: “Our Saturday repair drop-in starts this week.”

Then add the time, place and what people should bring.

Clear beats mysterious when someone is trying to work out whether your post is for them.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips03

One post. One next step.

Make the action easy to understand.

Caption & useful notes

A post can ask someone to book, read, visit or reply. It does not need to ask them to do all four.

Choose the action that fits the post. Then check the link, phone number or instructions actually take them there.

Patch’s rule for the day: one clear next step. Fewer banana skins.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips04

Take three photos while you work.

The process can be part of the story.

Caption & useful notes

Before. One detail. After.

Those three photos can help explain what you do, how you do it and what changed. A florist, maker, café or decorator can all tell a useful story this way.

Ask permission before showing customers, private spaces or identifying details.

You do not need to stage a whole photoshoot to record good work.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips05

Plan a small bunch.

Three useful drafts are a good place to start.

Caption & useful notes

Try a small content-planning session.

Draft one answer to a customer question.
Draft one behind-the-scenes post.
Draft one clear explanation of what you offer.

Add the photo each needs and note anything still to check.

You have a little bunch to work with, without trying to invent a whole month at once.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips06

Check it before it leaves.

A short review can catch the awkward bits.

Caption & useful notes

Before a post goes on the calendar, give it one calm check.

Is the date right? Does the image match the words? Have you got permission to use it? Does the link work? Has the right person approved this version?

Approval and scheduling are two different decisions. Patch keeps his stamp and his diary in separate paws.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips07

One idea can do three jobs.

Explain it. Show it. Answer a question.

Caption & useful notes

Made something useful? Give it a little more room.

For a new service, you could explain who it is for, show a step in the process, then answer the question customers ask most.

Each post should add something. Reuse the idea without repeating the same caption three times.

Same banana. Three useful slices.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips08

Leave room for real life.

A plan should help you respond, too.

Caption & useful notes

You can plan the week and still leave room for a brilliant customer question, a finished project or an unexpected change.

Try keeping one flexible space in your calendar. Before you fill it, ask: is this useful for the people we serve?

A content plan is there to help you. Patch has not padlocked the diary.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips09

Can it make sense without sound?

Give people more than one way in.

Caption & useful notes

Before sharing a short video, watch it with the sound off. Can you still understand the useful bit?

Add accurate captions for speech. Keep on-screen words readable and away from player controls. For images, add a helpful description where the platform supports alternative text.

Small checks can make the same post easier for more people to use.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips10

Give your profile five minutes.

Could a new customer find the basics?

Caption & useful notes

Look at your profile as if you have never heard of your business.

Can you tell what is offered, where it is available and how to take the next step? Are the link, opening hours and contact details still right?

Fix one unclear detail today. Your next customer should not need detective skills. Patch already has the magnifying glass.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips11

A reply can become a resource.

Save the answers you keep typing.

Caption & useful notes

If you keep writing the same helpful answer, save a clean version for your next post.

Remove names and private details. Make the answer useful without the original conversation. Add an example if it helps.

One customer’s question might be something plenty of people were wondering. No need to share their message to help the next person.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips12

What was this post meant to do?

Choose a useful sign of progress.

Caption & useful notes

Before you judge a post, remember its job.

An explainer might be useful because customers ask better questions. An event post might lead people to the booking page. A project post might start a relevant enquiry.

Use the information you actually have. Keep a note of what you tried and what happened. One number rarely tells the whole story.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips13

Find your own rhythm.

There is no magic time for every business.

Caption & useful notes

A café’s customers and a business-to-business audience may use social media differently.

Start with what you know about your customers. Try a consistent posting slot, then look at several comparable posts and the information your platform provides.

Keep the content useful while you experiment. Patch’s diary has room for learning, not a universal magic hour.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips14

Explain the offer without riddles.

Help someone decide whether it is for them.

Caption & useful notes

Try this offer-writing check.

What is included? Who is it useful for? What does someone need to know before asking or booking?

Use a real example instead of a string of impressive adjectives. Include accurate limits, dates or availability when they matter.

A clear offer gives people something they can understand and act on.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips15

A little Friday tidy-up.

Make next week easier for yourself.

Caption & useful notes

Before the week disappears, take a few minutes with your content plan.

What did customers find useful? What still needs a photo or a decision? Has anything changed that means a scheduled post needs a fresh look?

Leave yourself a short note for Monday. Future you deserves a tidy desk. Patch will bring the rake.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Useful tips16

Show the bit people do not see.

A small detail can explain a lot of care.

Caption & useful notes

The careful seam. The freshly sharpened tool. The way you pack a fragile order.

Choose one small part of your work and explain why you do it that way.

Specific details can help people understand the care behind an ordinary-looking result. You do not have to call yourself passionate seventeen times. Show the work.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Monkey business17

Patch has a very important meeting.

The agenda appears to be bananas.

Caption & useful notes

Patch has called a very important meeting.

The agenda is one banana long and nobody has read the minutes.

What is he saying on the Banana Phone? Give this little moment a caption.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Monkey business18

Welcome to the first-draft club.

There are pencil shavings everywhere.

Caption & useful notes

Patch’s first draft was a banana.

His second draft was also a banana, but with better lighting.

A rough version gives you something to work on. What have you been putting off because the first attempt might not be perfect?

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Monkey business19

Tiny win. Big monkey energy.

Something small still counts.

Caption & useful notes

A tiny-win roll call from the Treehouse.

Maybe you sent the draft, answered the awkward question or finally took that product photo.

It does not need confetti to count. What little job are you pleased to have finished? Patch is watering the small wins today.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Monkey business20

Your business. One word.

Patch has already chosen “bananas”.

Caption & useful notes

Describe the feeling you want customers to have after working with you.

One word. Then tell us why.

Calm? Confident? Delighted?

Patch said “bananas”, which is not terribly helpful but is extremely on brand.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Monkey business21

Even Patch closes the laptop.

A little breather belongs in the plan.

Caption & useful notes

A gentle Treehouse reminder: you are allowed to stop scrolling.

Finish the next small thing, leave yourself a useful note and take your break.

Patch is off to conduct a thorough coconut inspection. Very demanding work.

Evergreen idea. Check any business details before posting.

Fresh ideas22

Open the Christmas box early.

Prepare useful answers before the busy weeks.

Caption & useful notes

Patch has found the Christmas box. You do not need to decorate the shop today—but you can prepare the useful bits.

Draft a gift guide. Check your real ordering deadlines. Photograph the preparation.

Fresh ideas23

Make a tiny, useful series.

One customer question. Three short answers.

Caption & useful notes

Try a tiny series around one customer problem.

One: explain the question.
Two: show a useful example.
Three: help someone take the next step.

A September 2026 TikTok Australia/New Zealand announcement puts creator-led series in the spotlight. Our idea for a small business: test a simple repeatable format with your own knowledge.

What should “Patch fixes it” tackle first?

Checked 29 September 2026. Recheck before 2026-10-06.

TikTok announced an Australia/New Zealand creator-series initiative. This is format inspiration, not a claim of UK programme access or an engagement guarantee.

Fresh ideas24

Show the hand behind the work.

Try one personal title on a making-of clip.

Caption & useful notes

Patch made a sign: “Something good is being made here.”

Show one small making-of moment from your business. Try a short title that feels personal, and keep the words easy to read.

Meta’s September 2026 introduction of the hand-painted BOTECO font in Edits is a nice prompt to look at the human detail in your own work.

Keep your familiar colours and logo. The idea is to add your character, not borrow somebody else’s.

Checked 29 September 2026. Recheck before 2026-10-06.

Meta says artist Filipe Grimaldi hand-painted BOTECO before it was digitised for Edits. This does not grant a website-font licence or change Monkey404’s typography.
